Reflection

I feel that a lot of the information that we are learning may be irrelevant for the ages that I plan on teaching. I feel that this information is much more for older children who can understand was the Internet is, how it works, how to troubleshoot and so forth. The information is great for me to learn as a teacher but I just feel that some of it is not needed. I really enjoyed the IMOVIE even though mine wasn't as great as I wanted, I did learn many different ways to use that program and I think if I have a MAC in my classroom that I would really learn how to perfect my skills in that area. I feel that the most important thing that I have learned in the this class thus far is how to search the Internet to find beneficial websites to help me with lesson plans, pictures, videos, and much more.

I personally find some of the information that we are learning to be personally overwhelming, so I agree with you when you say that the children we will be teaching probably will not be able to utilize many of this information, but on the other hand, I feel it is good information to know and understand and can be very beneficial. Also, I enjoyed that iMoive as well and I think it would be a great way to introduce you as a teacher to your students and parents. Furthermore, as for the most beneficial part of the class, for me personally, would be learning how to use a Mac computer because before this class I was clueless. Keep up the good work!

I agree with you that a lot of the information that we have gotten so far seems irrelevant. But I think it helps provide us with a good base.Hopefully as the semester goes on it becomes more relevant to our age group. I think we have gotten a lot of great websites in this class to use in our future classes. I guess I never realized how much there was out there.

I agree with you that some of the information is not relevant, but I think that some of it is good to know and have familiarity with just in case. I personally believe that the activity with excel was worth the time to get comfortable with (that and I love it!). We will probably be using as a gradebook for our students so learning little tid-bits of information (such as dragging formulas down a column) is a good thing to know.
